Summary/Objective: This role promotes organizational effectiveness across our network of partner hospitals, health systems, and surgery centers in the United States. The Senior HRBP works closely with the clinical and operations leadership teams to design, develop, and implement Human Resources programs focused on attracting, retaining, and motivating our clinical providers to their greatest potential. In this key role, you will provide counsel and guidance on all HR matters, serving as the single point of contact for leaders and clinical providers.
Essential Functions:
- Partner with leadership to develop talent strategies that are aligned to business priorities
- Drive progressive talent management strategies for clinical teams, in collaboration with Talent Development, that include succession planning, assessment of potential, talent reviews, and individual development planning
- Focus on leadership effectiveness for clinical leaders through coaching, advising, connection to training opportunities, and bringing best practices to light for potential implementation
- Support and champion diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives locally and across NorthStar
- Manage Employee Relations-related issues or concerns as they arise, working closely with the ER function, legal, and leadership as appropriate
- Recommend, develop, and implement programs to promote employee engagement and retention
- Facilitate a process that allows department leaders and managers to drive action planning following the annual employee engagement survey and develop other retention and engagement strategies
- Coach, educate, and help project manage the performance management process for our clinical teams including communication and change management around improvements in our performance management process
- Partner with HR leadership to recommend, research and implement new approaches, policies, procedures, and tools with a focus on scale
- Lead change management efforts through business changes such as new business growth, acquisitions, systems implementations, and process and policy enhancements
- Participate in new contract startups with assigned area and recommend or support changes to improve the employee experience

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university, or equivalent experience
- Minimum of eight (8) years of progressive Human Resources experience
- Experience in the health care industry preferred, specifically working with clinical providers
- HR certification, such as SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, SPHR or similar preferred
- Labor relations experience preferred
- Demonstrated project management with the ability to partner with diverse stakeholders to meet ambitious timetables, milestones, and deliverables
- Ability to work in a team environment, manage multiple clients, and provide strong and strategic consultative support
- Level, title and compensation may vary commensurate with relevant experience (e.g., supporting the C-Suite, healthcare experience, especially supporting clinical leaders and clinical teams)
- Remote position with a preference for location which will allow ease of access to air travel, as needed
- Travel of 20-30% required

- Adept at communicating effectively across all levels of internal and external stakeholders while inspiring confidence
- Proven success communicating key HR initiatives across multiple channels and to a diverse set of key stakeholders
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills, with an ability to become familiar with company-specific programs and software, experience with Workday a plus
