SUMMARY/OBJECTIVE: The Senior Business System Analyst plays a critical role in ensuring that essential enterprise and departmental software applications support business functions. The SA is responsible for the ongoing maintenance and optimization of these software systems and alignment of system functions with organizational goals. In particular, the SA will support enterprise clinical scheduling and the clinical credentialing process for corporate teams and more than 4,000 clinicians at 200+ locations across the enterprise.
This position can be performed from anywhere within the United States. Candidates must have reliable internet access and be able to work effectively in a virtual environment. Work site attendance may be required from time to time in accordance with business conditions.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
System Administration
- Maintain and update software systems to ensure optimal performance. Review product updates, assess applicability to NorthStar, and plan and execute system updates. Act as the primary point of contact with vendor
- Participate as a system subject matter expert in process optimization initiatives. Provide guidance and support to end users in leveraging system capabilities to support process improvement.
- Partner with other departments and technical teams to align processes and data across systems.
- Maintain system configurations including reference lists (e.g. facilities), workflow steps, and templates. Ensure alignment between system settings and business processes.
- Communicate changes impacting internal and external stakeholders promptly and clearly, and assist users in adapting to changes.
- Manage user access, including new user setup, terminations, and security assignments, in coordination with Information Technology team
- Participate in disaster recovery planning and testing.
- Document system configurations, updates, and procedures for future reference.
Training & Support
- Manage Tier 2 (advanced feature and troubleshooting) and Tier 3 (outage and vendor-related) help desk tickets
- Ensure appropriate training on systems for new users and ongoing education for existing users. Support central and departmental training staff
Reporting & Analytics
- Build and manage dashboards and reports leveraging application-based reporting capabilities. For enterprise (multi-source) reports requiring the Data Hub team, serve as a subject matter expert on source data to help with report requirements and QA testing.
Data Integrity & Compliance
- Oversee system data accuracy through routine audits, reporting, and investigations
- Collaborate with departmental leaders to enforce compliance with internal standards and external regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with enterprise technical teams, i.e. the Data Hub, to monitor and address data integration failures and errors

Qualifications:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- 5+ years’ experience, including 2 years in business analyst, systems analyst or IT support role
- Proficiency in configuring enterprise software systems
