The Learning & Development (L&D) Specialist is a hands-on execution role responsible for operationalizing enterprise learning priorities, with a primary focus on new clinical leader onboarding, learning campaign administration, and LMS ownership. This role manages the day-to-day operation of the Workday LMS, executes required training initiatives, supports accredited learning and enterprise programs, and partners closely with the L&D Manager and cross-functional stakeholders to deliver consistent, scalable learning experiences. The Specialist enables compliance, leadership development, and inclusion efforts by ensuring learning programs are efficiently deployed, tracked, and continuously improved.
- New Clinical Leader Onboarding
- Partners with relevant stakeholders to design and create onboarding experiences in support of new clinical leader development
- Builds and maintains onboarding curricula, learning paths, and resources aligned to leadership expectations and business priorities
- Tracks training completion percentages through the LMS
- Continuously improves clinical leader onboarding based on feedback, performance insights, and retention outcomes
- Learning Campaign Administration and Reporting
- Serve as the Workday Learning administrator: create and manage courses, dashboard creation, upload content, launch campaigns, assign trainings, and troubleshoot user issues.
- Partner with HRIS and key stakeholders to streamline system workflows and reporting dashboards.
- Generate, analyze, and distribute reports for compliance, engagement, and training effectiveness.
- Support the design and implementation of learning pathways and recommend system improvements to enhance learner experience.
- Coordinate logistics for in-person and virtual training events including scheduling, catering, travel, materials, and vendor coordination.
- Support Corporate New Hire Onboarding (bi-weekly virtual orientation and in-person event three times a year) by assisting with agendas, calendars and scheduling, materials, communication, and on-site execution.
- Assist with evaluation efforts, including survey distribution, data collection, and impact analysis.
- Instructional Design and eLearning Creation
- Design, develop, and maintain engaging eLearning courses, microlearning, and other digital training assets using tools such as Articulate 360 (Rise, Storyline) or comparable authoring platforms.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts (SMEs) to translate complex concepts into interactive, learner-centered content that supports both required and elective development pathways.
- Support the build-out of an internal library of on-demand learning resources, focusing on topics that enhance professional skills and organizational culture.
- Talent, Engagement & Inclusion Programs
- Assist in rollout of employee surveys, compile data, and help communicate key findings.
- Partner with the L&D Manager to support Culture of Opportunity & Inclusion efforts, including employee resource group coordination and inclusion programming.
- Top Workplaces Administrative Support
- Partners with relevant stakeholders to project manage Top Workplaces survey administration, timelines, communications, and awards announcements.
- Coordinates data collection, submissions, and required documentation to ensure deadlines and eligibility requirements are met.
- Tracks participation, results, and key milestones to support ongoing employer branding and engagement efforts.
- Supports internal communications and recognition activities tied to Top Workplaces outcomes.
- Continuing Education and Administrative Support
- Support AANA/AMEDCO submissions and other continuing education documentation needs for Talent team and Quality education and training offerings.
- Provide general project and education support.
