Role Overview

Summary/Objective:

 

The Senior Talent Business Partner serves as a strategic connector between Talent Management and the HR Business Partner (HRBP) team, ensuring enterprise talent strategies are effectively activated across the organization. This role strengthens alignment between strategic priorities and field execution—equipping HRBPs to drive leadership development, succession planning, engagement action planning, and culture initiatives with greater focus and consistency. In addition to this enterprise partnership work, the TBP will continue to support Clinical Leadership Recruiting by providing consultative partnership on leadership hiring strategies, assessing talent pipelines, and collaborating closely with the Clinical Recruiting team and business leaders to identify and attract high-impact physician and CRNA leaders.  

 

This position can be performed from anywhere within the United States. Candidates must have reliable internet access and be able to work effectively in a virtual environment.  Work site attendance may be required from time to time in accordance with business conditions.

Essential Functions: 

  1. Strategic Talent Partnership
  • Partner with the Talent Management team to translate enterprise programs (Talent Reviews, leadership development, succession planning, engagement action planning) into actionable frameworks that empower HRBPs and business leaders.
  • Serve as a strategic advisor to HRBPs, helping interpret talent data, identify focus areas, and ensure consistent execution of talent and culture initiatives across regions.
  • Lead coordination of post-Talent Review and engagement follow-up, ensuring insights lead to measurable progress and visible leadership accountability.
  • Partner with HR Analytics to monitor progress and impact on key talent metrics, surfacing trends and recommendations to inform leadership decisions.
  1. Clinical Leadership Recruiting
  • Collaborate with business and clinical leadership to understand current and emerging leadership needs across the organization.
  • Partner with Clinical Recruiting and HR leadership to ensure proactive pipeline development for key physician and CRNA leadership roles.
  • Provide consultation on selection, assessment, and interview processes to ensure alignment with NorthStar’s leadership profile and culture.
  • Support transitions of newly hired clinical leaders through onboarding touchpoints and partnership with Talent Management to ensure long-term success.
  • Support the design and implementation of learning pathways and recommend system improvements to enhance learner experience.
  1. Cross-Functional Integration
  • Serve as the connective link between HR Centers of Excellence (Talent, DEI, Learning, Recruiting, HR Operations) to ensure aligned, streamlined delivery of HR initiatives.
  • Facilitate knowledge-sharing and best practices between HRBPs and Talent Management to improve consistency and effectiveness in execution.
  1. Leadership & Culture Enablement
  • Reinforce leadership expectations and culture initiatives across HR and business teams.
  • Partner with HRBPs to drive initiatives that build engagement, retention, and leadership effectiveness.
  • Support field HR leaders in identifying development needs and connecting them to enterprise programs or resources.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred; Master’s degree preferred.
  • 7+ years of experience in HR, Talent Management, or Recruiting, with strong exposure to leadership development or organizational effectiveness.
  • Proven ability to build credibility and influence across senior leadership levels.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret talent data and translate insights into action.
  • Demonstrated success managing cross-functional initiatives and driving follow-through across teams.
  • Healthcare or professional services experience strongly preferred.

 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Excel, Word).
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Demonstrated teamwork and customer service orientation.
  • Comfortable working independently in a fast-paced, hybrid environment.
