Role Overview

 

Summary/Objective:

The Recruiting Specialist is an attractive full time position that specializes in clinical contract staffing, as a part of NorthStar’s clinical staffing strategy.  The perfect role for someone with great talents but limited experience.  Other healthcare staffing roles take months or years to contribute but our opportunity provides an immediate impact due to the specialization.  Requires high urgency and effort with great people skills, problem solving, fortitude, a strong desire to learn, listen and grow. Early on, assignments include securing placements using locums agencies, sourcing and recruiting independent contractors, PRNs and eventually owning all recruitment for smaller, rural facilities.  After each stage of development, the responsibilities gradually grow until we have a tailor-made career path for you. 

 

***This position can be performed from anywhere within the United States. Candidates must have reliable internet access and be able to work effectively in a virtual environment.  Work site attendance may be required from time to time in accordance with business conditions.

 

Essential Functions:   

  • Specialize in successfully supporting clinical recruiting by owning contract staffing, both directly recruiting and engaging an agency to fill clinical roles.
  • Guide agency through the hiring process, onboarding and credentialing to effectively meet critical staffing deadlines.
  • Explain expectations, practice details and key decision-making factors for each search.
  • Execute the contract staffing strategy established by team lead or department leader.
  • Follow internal process in an organized manner to ensure teammates and internal partners are informed and have received appropriate documentation.
  • Participate in networking opportunities to attract top talent, including community efforts and alternative job boards.
  • Attend anesthesiologist and CRNA conferences to market NorthStar to potential candidates.
  • Promote NorthStar Anesthesia’s Core Values.

Key Deliverables: 

  • Manage the recruiting process with an emphasis on contractors and locum tenens.
  • Create and manage a pipeline of qualified candidates for current/future consideration in recruiting database.
  • Knowledge of approved contract openings, prioritized by urgency and with each role’s unique parameters
  • Accurately document, track and report recruiting activity.
  • Partner with hiring manager on agency strategies.

Qualifications:                                                            

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
  • Experience or internship in sales, recruiting or a related field 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suites and applicant tracking.
  • Experience with and knowledge of sourcing effectiveness, screening, interviewing, selection and candidate assessment techniques.
  • Ability to understand, adapt, and respond effectively to a constantly changing environment.
  • Strong personal motivation with ability to work with little supervision and attention to detail while working in a deadline driven environment.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely across multiple levels within the company.
  • Must maintain confidentiality of all provider information and company documents
