Summary/Objective:
Senior Revenue Accountant is responsible for calculating the revenue guarantees and true-ups accurately and timely, prepare all 85/15 remittances and invoices, calculate and post the monthly management fees, update the SNAFF/FFS forecast and track actuals, prepare and post subcash allocations, prepare and post bad debt allocations for Capio as well as perform reconciliations of the Balance Sheet accounts, and provide information to the Financial Planning & Analysis and Operations team.
***This position can be performed from anywhere within the United States. Candidates must have reliable internet access and be able to work effectively in a virtual environment. Work site attendance may be required from time to time in accordance with business conditions.
Essential Functions:
- Ensures compliance with applicable policies and reviews contracts to ensure that revenue is recorded in compliance with GAAP.
- Record and reconcile all patient and hospital revenue entries
- Work with Billings Specialist to make sure all invoices are accurate, sent to the clients on time, and according to the facilities’ contracts.
- Work with and assist the Revenue Accounting Manager with all their job responsibilities including recording of journal entries and reconciliations
- Assist Vice President of Revenue with all patient and hospital revenue related analyses and projects

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or higher degree in Accounting or Finance
- 2-5 years of accounting background
- Excellent Microsoft Excel skills is required
- Healthcare experience preferred but not required
- An understanding of contracts and the healthcare revenue cycle is preferred but not required
- Solid understanding of GAAP and ability to do accounting research to find solutions for accounting issues.
- Experience with Great Plains is a plus.
