Summary/Objective: The Compensation Analyst will aid in ensuring NorthStar’s competitive market compensation position including merit, bonus, and equity. They will partner with corporate and clinical leadership to ensure we are able to attract and retain candidates, while maintaining internal pay equity.

Essential Functions:
- Prepare and maintain job descriptions for each position in the organization; ensure descriptions accurately reflect the work being performed by incumbents.
- Administer multiple bonus and incentive programs, including business development bonuses, production bonuses, and commissions. Responsibilities include calculating and validating payments, entering and approving transactions in the HRIS, maintaining supporting tracking spreadsheets, and ensuring payments are processed accurately and timely.
- Create and maintain job profiles within the HRIS in accordance with established job architecture standards and governance guidelines.
- Benchmark new and existing roles against survey data and other market intelligence tools to determine competitive compensation ranges for each position at all levels of the organization
- Evaluate job positions to determine classification, exempt and nonexempt and salary of job positions in order to reward appropriately and fairly across organization.
- With guidance from VP, advise management on applicable state and federal employment regulations, benefits and compensation policies, human resource procedures, and collective agreements.
- Lead the annual corporate merit cycle, in partnership with Talent & the Corporate HR Business Partners.
- Prepares data and participate in salary surveys. Provides research and/or analysis for special projects (i.e., State Wage Transparency Reporting, DOL requests, etc.).
- Conduct Human Resource analytics, data analysis and interpretation of trends to support proactive planning.
- Prepare ad hoc compensation, merit, and budget related reports as requested.
- Provide training to HR, Clinical Leadership, Corporate Leadership, and others on compensation principles, pay for performance and best practices.
- Remote: This position can work remotely; work site attendance in Irving, TX may be required from time to time in accordance with business conditions.

Qualifications:
- Three+ years of experience in the compensation discipline.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field strongly preferred, or equivalent experience considered.
- Healthcare industry experience strongly preferred with an emphasis on compensation programs designed for clinicians and clinical leaders
- Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) preferred
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Proficient in Microsoft applications, with excellent database and spreadsheet skills
- Prepare and present information in a clear and concise manner
- Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing with people at all levels of the organization. Demonstrative experience with collecting, analyzing, reporting and presenting data.
- Ability to compile and analyze data that can be used to create a data storyline.
- Ability to take initiative without established guidelines and procedures using independent judgment. High degree of attention to detail.
- Ability to independently research problem areas, facilitate meetings and decision-making processes.
- Strong executive presence and ability to lead consultative conversations with senior leaders
